Shipping

The principle activity the company is to provide shipping services to the Maldives spanning the globe, thereby promoting trade and industrial growth.

The company has scheduled weekly sailings from Colombo and fortnightly sailings from Singapore.  The ports of Colombo and Singapore are used as hubs for routing MNSL’s cargo from worldwide origins.

In addition MNSL provides support service to offer you;

• Export services of fish & fish products out of Maldives. Currently handling 500 GP containers and 200 reefer containers.
• With introduction of new factories, exports are expected to grow to 800 GP containers & reefer containers by 2008
• Cargo handling and freight forwarding, Agency services, provision of cranes/Barges/Tugs, heavy lift and project cargo handling whether the solution you require is at local or regional level, MNSL can provide it and tailor it to you.

Project Cargo

MNSL specializes in the logistics management of project cargo.  With up to 50-ton heavy lift capacity on the vessels and 30-ton lift capacity on floating cranes, tugs, barges and even on-site delivery to remote islands of the Maldives; MNSL is equipped to handle large-scale operations owning tugs, barges, bunkering and water barges, and so on.

MNSL has been primarily involved in numerous projects, including the Regional Airports Development Project and the Fuah Mulaku Harbour Development Project, among many others. 

Agency Services

Cargo Vessels
MNSL provides agency services, including In-Port Limit, Off-Port Limit, Cargo Handling and other support services such as bunkering, crew assistance, and ship-to-ship transfers, among others.

Passenger & Cruise Liners
For more than 20 years, MNSL has also been handling agency services for passenger and cruise liners including the major worldwide chains such as Cunard Lines (USA) and Norwegian Cruise Lines.  MNSL offers services such as the inward and outward clearance, crew changes, provision of supplies and even the organisation of tours for passengers including island hopping and diving excursions.

Other Vessels/Yachts
MNSL provides routine agency services for other vessels including research ships and yachts.  MNSL is experienced in and is dedicated to providing assistance to any vessels, in any way possible.

MNSL has provided agency services for Millennium Odyssey, a worldwide yacht regatta, in their leg through the Maldives.
